Russell’s itself is the former home of furniture by Sir Gordon Russell, the twentieth century design pioneer schooled in the Arts and Crafts tradition.
After World War II, he helped bring Britain out of austerity by promoting and developing the design industry and had a profound influence on British industry, design and education.
